This is full of fabulous Art Nouveau Illustrations - just look at the Art Nouveau lines in these!!!Just look at the photographs to give you a feel for the amazing quality of these illustrations - the detail is fantastic!!So many of these book are split up for their illustrations - this one is complete and extremely clean - Color Plates with NO CREASES!!! DOZENS OF ILLUSTRATIONS!!Charles Robinson, brother to William Heath Robinson, of course is contemporary with Arthur Rackham, Kay Nielsen, Warwick Goble, Willy Pogany and many others - and is regarded by many as the master of book illustration - Highly Influenced By Alphonse Mucha, Gustave Dore, Aubrey Bearsley, as well as the Pre-Raphaelites, Millais, Edward Burne-Jones and many others! This complete 1st Edition is in very good condition indeed - Undated as required - It has a little slight rubbing and some marking to the boards, spine faded - a touch of foxing, mainly to the prelims, Overall this is one of the best copies of this extremely rare book I have seen - No childish coloring or marks - Wonderful!!
