I would suggest this is the scariest tires in the wet I have EVER driven on, if it was not for BMW X Drive and traction control I would be a disaster. How the can produce such crap is beyond me, selling them with rims and back to Bridgestone for next winter.
I would love to get a response
Review from February 23, 2016Rating: 8.36Bought this tires as a winter set for my olderA4. I got them in 205/60 instead of the OEM 205/55 so I will have more rubber and slightly raise the car. The dry traction in temperatures above 40 F is not good at all. This is to be expected from any winter tire. I only found out because we had a very warm winter this year (2015-2016) in North NJ.
When the temperature dips below 30F this tire gets much better. The sidewall feels firmer, and feels more "crisp" overall.
In the snow, this tire is great. I drove in 4" deep snow and the ABS didn\'t even kick in. I felt great side support and the car only lost traction when I turned aggressively or stepped on gas. Similar story in the ice, other cars were slipping and sliding, my car was firmly planted.
Overall, I\'d recommend this tire for areas where the winters are very cold (Average below 25F) and constantly get snow/ice. For occasional snow or ice I\'d look elsewhere.
The steering response is mushy (Added side-wall doesn\'t help here), cornering in dry is not great but at least very progressive and communicative.

Review from February 19, 2016Rating: 9.67Dont question it. Just buy these tires!! First off I am in the military and live in Germany. These tires arrived here within a weekof ordering. I drive on combined rural, city, and autobahn/highway roads. Let me tell you hands down these tires got me through some nasty, sloppy, butt puckering european snowy roads. A few weeks back I was traveling in Munich, and in Garmisch (which is a mountanous ski resort area in Bavaria, that borders Austria), and I made it through some snowy condition roads that required people to pull over and install snow chains, without the snow chains! The snow was about 5 inchesor more deep with giant baseball size snow flakes coming down on top of it. Also on the autobahn there were european cars spinning out of control due to excessive snow, and I was trucking along in my Dodge with no problem. Obviously not at autobahn speeds. I was moving comfortably at around 45-50 miles an hour. I probably could have gone faster, I just did not want to chance it. I have driven with them on black ice condition roads and made it just fine as well. I have neverput winter tires on my vehicle in the states, however in Germany it is a requirement to do so. I will now purchase these for my other vehicles that I have backhome when I get back home. The rubber on these tires is soft, which I think helps with the gripping, you would not want to keep these during the warmer months mainly because the softer rubber will wear out faster during higher temperatures.
