Ideal Valentine\'s Day Gift made by us from old London roof slates
This slate is approximately100-110mm wide and 110 - 120mmtall. (around about4 inches by 4 and a half inches)The thickness can vary from 3 to 6mm

There is some serendipity in using re-purposed old roof slates to help put new roofs over family\'s heads.
Re-purposed from old London Roof Slates, each one is truly unique and handmade.
We do not use inferior quality imported new slate - the furthest our slates have been is the Welsh Valleys they were mined from a long, long time ago.
Firstly we cutand clean every one of our Victorian slates by hand.Soften offany sharp corners, drill holes and then thread themwith rope for hanging before we engrave our designs directly into the surface. We do all the work ourselves here in Sevenoaks.
Each slate comes bubble wrapped in a sturdy cardboard box with acardgiving a brief history and details on how it was made from an old London roof slate.
Please remember the picture is for illustration purposes only and your slate will be a little different (but pretty much the same)with it\'s own unique character and blemishes picked up over the last 100 years or so.It couldhave a chunk out of the side, corner missing or some lichen still clinging to the surface!

Caring for your slate
Slates are fine to hang inside or outside and should last many years, take care not to scratch the surface or drop the slate, as it may break. To clean just wipe over gently with a damp cloth.
All slates are packaged very carefully before being sent out via Royal Mail or Parcelforce service.
Although we do our best to get rid of any sharp edges please take care when handling the slate.
