For Sale: ZAP Comix #0, VHTF 2nd Printing (Guaranteed 2nd Print), 35¢ Cover, 1968 R. (Robert) Crumb Art. Published by APEX Novelties. BIG PICS. BIG PICS!

A Must Have For The ZAP Comix / R. Crumb Completist!

To identify a 2nd Print it is all about the Mr. Sketchum\'s Spine!! More details below.

ZAP COMIX: There were many precursors to the underground comix revolution in 1968, nut none had a fraction of the impact that Robert Crumb\'s Zap Comix #1 had when it came out in San Francisco on February 25, 1968. Crumb had been busy himself for over a decade, producing his own fanzine and private comics, working odd commercial illustration jobs, and later publishing comics in EVO and Philadelphia\'s Yarrowstalks (another underground paper). Brian Zahn, publisher and editor of Yarrowstalks, put out an all-Crumb issue in 1967 and suggested that Crumb draw some actual comic books that Zahn would publish. Crumb was thrilled and produced two 24-page comic books with the title Zap Comix in the fall of 1967.

ZAP COMIX #0: Zap Comix #0 was published in the latter half of 1968, sometime between a few weeks and a few months after Zap Comix #2 was published in August. But if not for the fact that Brian Zahn (publisher of Yarrowstalks) had kept Crumb\'s artwork for Zap #0 when he traveled to India in 1968, this would have been the first book in the Zap Comix series.

How To Identifying The, VHTF 2nd Printing: 1st the 3 identificating items from a 1st Print are gone. They removed the ¼\" black line in bottom leg of \"Z\" in \"ZAP\" on the front cover; as well as removing the yellow ink in upper-left-corner lettering of \"I\'ll\" on the back cover. Also, there are no longer page numbers on the inside pages. But with a 2nd Print Mr. Sketchum\'s Spine is unblemished, just like the 1st print! (See the 2nd picture.) In the 3rd printing, right around Mr. Sketchum\'s T7 / T8, the black ink was badly damaged (smudged). In the 4th printing there was some repair to the damage and in the 5th printing the repair was complete; but just like most T7 / T8 injuries, it was never the same as a pre-smudge T7 / T8! I am very happy to report that in this copy Mr. Sketchum\'s Spine is unblemished . . . 2nd Print!

This is a Very Nice Copy with TONS of EYE-APPEAL!! Please check out all the BIG PICS and make your own decision on condition.

The Very Large photos are NOTstock photos and are of the actual comics you will receive.

Yes, I can grade comics myself, BUT grading is subjective, Pictures are real. Itake and upload REALLY BIG PICTURES of the comic(s) I am selling. Please make your own judgement on the comics condition before buying.

Yes I know that \'Awesome\', \'Nice\' and \'Excellent\' aren\'t official CGC / Comic Grading Terms. I have used them on purpose because I don\'t want to have email debates about the exact definition of NM vs NM+ or 9.4 vs 9.6. Grading is subjective.

If you are a ZAP Comix fan, I occasionally have others in my store. Check them out!Clicking this link!

If you are a Fan of ZAP Comix; you can\'t go wrong adding this to your collection!

PLEASE NOTE:BEST OFFERS PRICESDO NOT INCLUDE SHIPPING, even if you add a comment that says \'my offer includes shipping\' . . . IT DOESN\'T. \'s logic is not sophisticated enough to deal with this, so please be sure to factor in shipping separately from your offer. If you do put in any condition text into your best offer, \'s Auto-Accept feature is blocked for your offer. Why is that important? I had somebody put in a Best Offer and added the condition \"Thank You\", which was nice, but it kept their offer from being auto-accepted. Later that night, before I saw the offer, somebody else bought the item at full price. Good For Me . . . Not good for the 1st buyer.

Check out my response and you can see that I aim to please!

Did I mention Satisfaction Guaranteed!?

From a SMOKE FREE & PET FREE location.

ImaPaqRat Return Policy:In most cases I do offer returns, I just am not opting into the new Managed Return Process. Unless my listing specifically states, \"SOLD AS IS!\" or \"RETURNS NOT ACCEPTED\" in the description, I will accept returns if contacted within 7 days of the item being received. \'s new Managed Return Process has too many holes and puts another barriers between the buyer and the seller. If you are unhappy for any reason with your purchase, please contact me through the Messaging process so I can work with you. Unfortunately, has made a change to their system so sellers cannot offer returns managed by the seller, the seller is force now to either use Manage Returns or select \"No Returns Accepted\" as the business policy. Hopefully will see the error in their ways and goback to the system that was working fine. I do appreciate your understanding.

COMIC PACKAGING:Allcomics are Bagged & Boarded, then wrapped it packing paper and finally sandwiched between too pieces of cardboard. I use enough tape to keep the comics safe, but not so much tape that you have to cut the comics from a tape entombment! In other words,I wrap and ship the comics the way I would like my comics to be wrapped and shipped. I cannot control the Post Office, but unless the package is run over or dropped from the Empire State Building, it will arrive in the same condition you bought it in.

SATISFACTION GUARANTEE:If unsatisfied you will receive a full refund of the purchase price once the item is returned in the same condition as shipped. PLEASE NOTE:I have had people buy NM copies of a comic then return a different copyexpecting a refund. You must return the same copy that was shipped andyes, I will know if it is a different copy.

NO SUCH THING AS FREE SHIPPING! The fallacy of ‘Free Shipping’, according to ImaPaqRat:If the seller provides ‘Free Shipping’ it means they have already factored in the full cost of shipping into their pricing. If you happen to buy 10 items from that seller, you are paying full shipping on 10 items even though they may ship them all in one box. I on the other handpost the shipping cost and if a buyer buys more than 1 item, I can provide them with a consolidated shipping discount. If you win more than1 item from me, please contact me, before you pay so I can send you a consolidated invoice.

CONSOLIDATED SHIPPING:I do offer consolidated shipping whenever possible, but my 1st priority is to ensure youritems arereceived safely. Ifyou are buying more than 1 item, please contact me when you are done soImay send you a consolidated invoice. PLEASE DO NOT PAY THEN ASK ME TO CONSOLIDATE THE SHIPPING!To take advantage of consolidated handling fees you must make a single payment, within 7 days of the first sales end date.

NO FREE UPGRADES:Ifunsatisfied returns are welcome with 14 days for delivery, BUT the itemreturned MUST BE THE SAME ITEM SHIPPED! I have had a few people decidethey were unhappy with their purchase and instead of gettingmy NM comic back, I got a different, lower gradedone. Yes, I can tell the difference between copies if a lower grade is returned.

SMOKE FREE / PET FREE!:Your comic(s) ship from and have been in a Smoke Free / Pet Free Home Office for years. So no smelly surprises and no dander flying around when you open up your package!

response POLICY: Wedo provide honest response for all transactions, but only after response has been left for us first. Sorry but we have had a few erroneous negative responses, after we had already left our positive response. If you have any problems with your purchase(s), please contact us via email before leaving response. We will do everything we can to correct any misunderstandings.
