This bolo tie isan exceptionally beautiful, very well-crafted, Zuni (New Mexico) channel inlay Bald Eagle. The inlay isexpertly done and quite fine,both characteristics of the Zuni lapidary Janet Amesoli. The stones are also very highly polished. The tie is stamped with her hallmark "J. A. Zuni" on an attached silver plate on the back (see the fifth photo below). Janet is a top-notch inlayer with extremely tight inlayandvirtually no filler (see the first three photos below).

The tie is 2-3/8" tall and 2-1/4" wide, which is a nice wearable size, and hasa 1980sunmarked Bennett-style clasp for attaching the cord (see thefourthphoto below).

The original four-ply black leather strap is inexcellent condition showing virtually no wear andis soft and pliable. The 2-1/4" silver tips are also nicely stamped (see thefifth photo below). I purchased the tie in 1990 in Santa Fe, NM. Note: I have left the 1980s patina on both the tie and tips.
