This is a wonderful 5 strand fetish necklace by Mary Tsikewa (b. 1918 - d. 1986) of Zuni Pueblo, New Mexico. It measures 24\" in length. She was the wife of David Tsikewa and daughter of Teddy Weahkee. Each of the 105 finely carved bird fetishes measure approximately 3/4\". They are made from a variety of shell, Zuni stone travertine, pipestone, and serpentine, and are strung with fine olive shell heishi.
