Welcome!

I\'m offering for your consideration a fabulous prize winning pin that you will absolutely adore. It\'s a unique signed piece by Myra Tucson, one of the most famous artists in Zuni history. She was first married to Homer Vacit, Frank Vacit\'s younger brother and then married Lee Tucson. She exhibited with Kenneth Begay in 1965 at the Southwest Indian Arts II California exhibition and was considered one of the great masters in Zuni silver work. She is represented in every major book. She used the absolute best stones for this piece with a rich vibrant turquoise and coral and abalone, mother of pearl, jet, and brown shell. All lively and perfectly inlaid in channel inlay. No gaps!  All inlaid on the curve of the convex shape of the pin. All the stones are highly reflective and have great chatoyancy. The ribbons attached to this piece date it to 1965 and it won third prize in the Inter-Tribal Indian Ceremonial, Gallup New Mexico 1965. The 2 judges names are not recognizable, as judges were brought in from around the country.

This pin comes from the collection of long time trader Charles Newcomb. Mr. Newcomb was the second owner of the established 1926 trading post, Casa del Navajo in Coolidge, NM.

This pin is in new condition though it dates to 1965. It measures 2\" x 2\" and it isn\'t signed by the artist nor for silver content. She didn\'t sign her pieces unless she was asked to do so. It\'s a great find.

Myra Tucson is one of the greats and her work is highly collectible. This is a one-of-a-kind pin of complex design with rare and beautiful stones, a sophisticated masterpiece of museum quality.
