for sale another fantastic estate find offered up for sale. you are offerding on a stunning french antique sterling silver twin salt stand in good condition. this amazing double salt stand comes with lovely gilt shell bowls and carry handle. the bowls are nice and deep with most of the original gilt still present. the bowls are fitted to the pedestal stand with small tray. the tray sits on 4 scroll feet. it has the look of louis XVI and very classical looking. its fully hallmarked for silver and has an odd looking makers mark underneath. the hallmarks are in separate cartouches on the underside and inside of the bowls. there are 4 marks which are hard to make out but a couple look like heads.i did try and photo the marks but they are seriously hard to see let alone photo. you need a really good loop.its previous owner had inherited this and told me it was french and 19th century. its a really nice piece of antique silver and looks a thing of quality.... please see pics and dont miss out!this item measures 3.75\" wide and stands approx 3.5\" tall. total weight of item is 54g.
