Stunning 19th century French flower button with openwork pierced petals and a faceted cut steel center. The button is gold plated and there is a platinum white enamel shell inside each petal. These petals, besides being pierced are also domed, the button is rippled all around, not flat. It has loop shank and measures 32mm in diameter. No marks, purchased in Paris.
