A charming porcelain scent bottle in the shape of a speckled bird\'s egg. The bottle has a cork lined silver screw top and silver collar; the body has a beige satin sheen ground and is hand decorated in notes of brown. Condition: Excellent / mint / perfect !!! Typical fineglaze crazing; no damage found, very good lid fit . Base of the egg has the registration number 20772 issued in 1885 to James Macintyre & Co Ltd, Washington China Works, Burslem. Lid hallmarks rubbed, unreadable but identified according to similar items asBirmingham 1887, maker\'s : Charles Saunders and Francis Shepherd. A little under 1½in/3.8cm high.
