This is anveryrare 19th century Victorian postmortem memorial child\'s hair necklace with glass pendant.it is handmade from real natural human hair, 9k yellow gold gold plated, and glassIt is very rare and was made for a person whom lost their loved one. When a loved one passed the hair would be taken and turned into a memorial piece of art. Being hair neverdisintegrates it is the perfect material for a memorial pieces.The necklace is hand woven from real natural human hair and made with a several different techniques andpatterns.The necklace is very ornate with an abundance of intricate detailing.the gold plated clasp is very ornate,has nice hand engraved detailingthroughout, and a beautiful T-bar type clasp. The pendant is made from thickorange glass and done in anoctagon shape.it has many sparkles set in the glass andshines beautifully. italso has a nice gold embellishment on the front.the necklace measures 11 inches in length.the pendant alone measures 1 inches.it is in nice condition.VERY RARE HANDMADE MOURNING NECKLACE.
