ALL SUBSEQUENT ITEMS FREE SHIPPINGI have some other figural napkin rings and toothpick holders for sale currently...see themHEREMost of these figural napkin rings and toothpick holders were sourced in Australia. I have gathered them over the last 2 years from deceased estate sales all around the country. Most of the American figural napkin rings were made c1860-1899, and I believe a lot of them found there way to Australia in the gold-rush period in Australia in the 1870/1890\'s.I havelisted them nowas they have accumulated over the last 2 years while I have been engaged in a big supreme court action.
This is a lovelyantique American Victorian silverplate figuralnapkin ring with Persina man with a turbin on his head sitting on tehfloor next to a round napkin dolder , which has some simple engavingson it. The detail onthe man is extraordinary. This figural napkinring is not marked as for the maker or pattern number, and it is notfound in Gottschalk & Whitson\'sbook \"FiguralNapkin Rings: Collector\'s Identification and Value Guide\", but Iguarantee it is old and authentic. The figural napkinring is in verygood condition. It look likesomeone has cleaned it realtively recently. There is some polishresidue in the crevices of the mans trousers. I have not cleaned thering at all. There is no damage, no missing orbroken bits, no repairs, and no flaking orpitting. Thesilverplate looks to be in very good condition.Manyfigural napkin rings appear in Australia, and I source most ofthem, through contacts at deceased estate sales around the country. Most of the American figural napkin rings were made c1860-1899, and Ibelieve a lot found there way to Australia in the goldrush period inAustralia in the 1880/1890\'s.
