This turn of the century cast iron pug was obtained in a collection of arcade toy and hubley items. Cast iron with a gold toned patina, the pug stands approximately 3 inches tall and is a bit over 3 inches long. He is two pieces joined firmly by a rivet through the middle. His color is mostly intact and shows little wear from storage and display.Unfortunately, somewhere during his exceptionally long life, his tail was taken from him (see photo).
His sad pug bug eyes with heavy lids and perpetual sad frown look absently in the distance for a new home. His tough dog collar with little knobs gives him the quintessential tough pug look.While unmarked, the pug is easily 85+ years old and while obtained with hubley and arcade i cannot be positive of its maker.
