So Charming this antique covered cup with engraving of people dancing all around the cup. The piece in great condition with no dings or dents. The cover closes tightly and securely. Made by Reed and Barton as marked, in the Kate Greenaway style The piece measures 3 inches high without cover and 5 and 1/2 inches with cover, and the diameter of the opening at 3 inches. The cover adorned with with a young child to be used as a handle. The child\'s back has two small holes which I think may have supported wings or something else which is long gone. The piece is quite solid and rests evenly on a table. I have not cleaned it so it still has a nice old attractive patina. I will leave any cleaning, if desired up to the new owner. I I think it may have been used as a child\'s cup but today there are many possible uses including for decorative display.
