Gorgeous. Gorgeous. Gorgeous. I don\'t use the word \'stunning\' very often but it might just be in need here. Victorian or Edwardian in date, this wide Irish crochet lace trim has been hand made, using cotton in an off white almost ecru tone. This is truly an astounding creation, made up of 100s of smaller pieces sewn together to make two long panels, which have then been stitched together to form a very wide \'v\' shape, with 3d crocheted daisies to hide the seam. The flower shapes in the centre of each square pane are quite chunky, some having padded petals that are the size of broad beans! The lace is in excellent condition; it is both antique and salvaged so I would expect some small breaks here and there, but nothing that I\'d consider ruination. It gets somewhat shabby in the last 5 or 6 inches. I\'ve left the images big so you can see the detail. The whole piece measures 8 inches wide and 80 inches (2.2 yards) long - listing is for the entire piece. If you\'d like a photo of the whole piece just let me know and I\'ll see what I can do.
