A very old at least 19thc kindjal dagger - knife, origin is unknown to me but I am certain it is one of the many Islamic countries as there is script of Islamic type engraved into the fine carbon steel blade, the blade is in very good condition and has no damages and is still very very sharp.The hilt of this fine beast is made from 2 slabs of dark green horn, it also has iron studs - pins and what I think is gold alloy washers under them as decoration ?, I have not tested but would say I am 99% certain that they are gold alloy.The scabbard is fitted in what I would call a mixed alloy on its front, likely made with a little gold content but I am not certain of that, it certainly is not brass of normal kind, the alloy top and bottom sections are over leather covered wood and in the centre of the scabbard is a steel strip, the reverse of the scabbard is all steel and has a suspension loop.I do not know the exact origin of this dagger but I would like to know so please do message me if you do know, it is certainly an old piece and likely very early 19thc, the overall patina is honest and it has not been over cleaned remaining in its old sleepy state.size is 15-1/2 ins in scabbard, out is 15 ins, blade is 10-3/4 ins, a fine example and worthy of any antique edged weapons collection.NO RETURN, BUYER MUST COMPLETE PAYPAL PAYMENT WITHIN 48 HOURS OF THE sale ENDING \'\' NO EXCEPTIONS\'\'.
