Available an old, authentic, Navajo Ganado floor rug measuring a big 52\" x 92\". The weaving dates from the very early 20th century. The weaving over all, is in very good condition. It does shows normal age wear, color fading and appropriate over dye fading. It features abundant lazy lines. It was woven by a highly skilled weaver and demonstrates a well though out and executed design central element consisting of double diamonds and collapsed Valero stars. It features a a two dimensional, interlocking border design incorporating frets. It is a heavy carded, churro wool weaving combining a palette of natural wool colors and dyes. It was made for the floor. Both sides are photographed and show equal wear. The weavings selvedge edges have a little fraying in spots and few random breaks but these do not impact its structural integrity and are repairable. The warp ends also show some sporadic tuffing but again this is easily addressed. There are no other rips, holes, tears, or evidence of grazing\'s. Old Navajo weavings of this size and functional condition are rare. I had this weaving professionally cleaned and a few small spots remain( see pics). But again, these do not detract from the beauty of this piece.
