This Victorian-era parlor lamp has the most unusual scenic decoration...a hunter in a burgundy hunting jacking with his rifle and dogs! The back side is also decorated with woodsy forest scenes. Please pardon the white spots which are glare from my camera flash, not damage. While unmarked, the style of the decoration, brass font/spill ring, and brass-plated base are all indicative of Consolidated as the manufacturer....dates c. 1900. The decal decoration has some light hand-painted enhancement of the hunter\'s jacket and hat. The lamp measures 24 5/8\" to the top of the 9 5/8\" ball shade. I especially love the odd victorian background coloring...salmon around the top which fades in to chartreuse around the bottom! The overall condition is excellent with no damage or repairs to the glass. There are no flakes or chips around the fitter edge, other than some minor factory roughness around the inside edge. Please note the factory flaw in the paint on the base...visible in the last photo. It appears as though something brushed against the salmon-colored paint on the base when it was still wet...this is not damage, but a flaw which occurred at the factory. The shade retains its original heat ring. The original font, as shown in the photos, was electrified at some point in the past. The tank/reservoir is still intact, however the light socket appears to have been soldered or puttied in place...I am unsure of the condition of the feeder tube. The wiring looks ok...has an in-line switch on the cord...both top and bottom are intended to light as there is a bulb in the base, however it seems to be burnt out as only the top lights. Overall a stunning Victorian lamp with unusual decoration! Please note this is a three-day listing with .
