Offered here is an extremely RARE-TO-FIND & exquisitely beautifulRoyal Doulton Plate stamped Royal Doulton Burslem England from Doulton & Co. circa 1911. Brightly & vividly decorated with colorful scenes in a Greek City with ruins (temples & columns) & 4 people in what appears to be old Greek or Turkish outfits (3 women & 1 man who carries a spear). Colors include greens, grays, browns, orange/reds, cobalt blue, & gold. A must-have for a true Doulton collector!Amazing pristine MINT condition for its age ~ NO FLAWS WHAT SO EVER! All colors bright & sharp like the day it was fired - no chips, cracks, or crazing. 10.5\"inches diameter. There are a total of 4 stamps/markings on reverse. Two are painted or stamped in color (Lion over Crown logo ~ D3447-49) & two are impressed/stamped into the porcelain (3-07 ~ DOULTON BURSLEM logo). This particular Lion over Crown logo, used from 1902-1922, was introduced to mark the grant of the Royal Warrant by KingEdward VII. The D number dates it to 1911. Burslem marks used from1882 to 2004 – Doulton marks for manufactured stonewares,earthenwares and porcelain at BURSLEM – Stoke On Trent. This plate was proudly owned, & carefully held by, the same estate from the day it was purchased over 100 years ago!
