An unusual, original art deco brooch, c.1930s-50s in date. The brooch is oval, in bright silvertone metal and Czech glass. The metal forms a textured wire coil around the edge which frames the central glass stone. The bright red cabochon is \'carved\'- actually moulded- with an intricate flower pattern all over. Typical of Czech glass jewellery of this period, and very striking. The brooch is quite large, approx. 50mm by 40mm and the red cabochon is 40mm by 30mm. In excellent vintage condition, the metal still bright with no damage to the glass and a good pin clasp. Please see all photos.
