c1775-1825 Superb Russian? Silver Filigree Box

Presented is a lovely antique silver filigree box. This is likely a Russian made piece, based on the style of the filigree work and the monogram. The box dates to about 1775-1825. The box is done in an incredibly intricate filigree design, consisting of finely textured and coiled silver wire, with raised beaded decoration. The box opens with a push button on the front. The lid has an applied oval plaque with a monogram that looks to be in Cyrillic.

There are no stamps or hallmarks that we can find, but we guarantee this piece to be at least 875 purity silver.

The box is in great overall condition. The filigree looks to be all intact. The box snaps shut nicely. There are no breaks, no monogram removals, and no repairs.

The box measures about 2 3/4 by 1 7/8 by 3/4 of an inch, LxWxH.

The box weighs 48 grams.
