Description:

A superb of antique Georgian (c1784) solid silverwine bottle coaster with turned mahogany wooden base.

The coaster is decorated in the neoclassical style withengravedlaurel leaf swags linking piercedchariot wheel discs, the circular panel to the front engraved with a family crest, and with beaded upper rims. The base is now without its green baize covering.

Makers Mark:WA for William Abdy I (registered Sept 1784)

Silver grade:Lion passant mark for Sterling 925 Silver

Assay office: London crowned leopards head

Condition:
