Description:

A very finely crafted early 19th Century George III solid silver sifter spoon, gilt washed andpierced to the bowl with crosses and. The handle is superbly engraved in a scrolling typically Georgian font with the initials \'GJM\'.

The handle ishallmarked as follows:

Makers Mark: WE over WF over WC forWilliam Eley, William Fearn & William Chawner

Silver grade:Lion passant mark for Sterling 925 Silver

Assay office: London

Date letter: Qfor 1811

Also bears Monarch\'s Head mark indicating duty paid.

Condition:
