This is an excellent early c1840 American black painted primitive frame. Nicely alligatored surface with some expected wear but overall great condition. Shingle back and replacement glass. Frame measures 13 x 17 with a 10 1/8 x 14 1/8 rabbet. A quality, early primitive frame that has a million uses. Please email with any questions. Check my response and offer with confidence.
