A two volume set of the drawings of George du Maurier.

Parts one and four of original four volume set.

George du Maurier was a French-born British cartoonist and author known for his contributions to Punch. He became a member of the staff of Punch in 1865, drawing two cartoons a week. His most common targets were the affected manners of Victorian society as depicted in these volumes.

CONDITION

In cloth bindings. Externally, sound with somebumping, dampstaining and marks to boards. Boards and spines sunned. Hinges tender. Internally, binding strained. Pages bright with some scattered spotting. Overall: GOOD ONLY
