CIRCA 1895 RARE cabochon garnets glow red, one round and one pear shaped. There are 39 diamonds in each earring, a mixture of antique and rose cuts. When in the light the earrings diamonds and garnets glow fabulously. The earrings are in the Belle Époque style. Each earring has .65 points of diamonds set into Sterling silver. Back of earrings are gold wash, as was done at the time. Likely 18k. They are 2 inches long, approx 14mm wide, and weigh 9.7 grams. They were purchased from Laurelle Ltd, a well established antique jewelry business in the UK, and were examined by their experts. Photo 2 and 3 are the identical earrings being advertised for sale on Etsy for around $6600! These are one of the most beautiful antique earrings I have ever seen.
