Hard to find and getting harder each day! The center of this beautiful antique textile is a jacquard woven blend of silk and cotton. The base is lush black velvet trimmed in rich metal work trim. The back is luscious black silk. Nearly perfect as an antique textile can be. The jewel tones woven into a black background creates a striking combination. The naturalistic Art Nouveau design utilizes flowers and birds. It\'s a very usable and versatile size of 12\" x 25\". I found a huge collection of this popular, \"19 teens\" through the 1920\'s, runners and doilies, in a wide variety of jacquard woven fabrics. The amazing thing about this piece and the collection, is that they had been stored in a trunk, a dowery trunk, from which this was a part. I found the trunk and it\'s contents near Montreal Quebec on one of the few buying trips I was ever fortunate enough to take. The fact that the contents had been stored out of sunlight and UV rays, preserved them in an almost perfect condition. FRENCH MADE, the colors are truly JEWEL Like Colors. The SILK BACK is a luxurious bonus. The lush velvet base is so lovely that it\'s hard to verbalize just how lovely. There\'s no evidence this was ever used, no marks or circles to indicate anything was set on the piece. NO condition issues to report. It can be a centerpiece and a .
