Up for your consideration is a great large collection of 150+ wedding cards from February 12, 1944 all from one huge wedding held in Los Angeles, CA (note: came to this conclusion because couple\'s wedding photo with family was taken by photographer in LA; please refer to back of photo for name, etc.). It\'s amazing that there are very few duplicate wedding cards. Please note all wedding cards could not be photographed because of sheer number, but a good assortment is shown. (note: in the beginning, only one page of album was used for wedding cards but towards the end, both sides were used.
Photo of couple is included on first page as well as WWII active duty newspaper photo. etc. on last page in all likelihood inserted to commemorate what was happening when this happy couple was married. Just imagine this wedding took place when WWII was raging on and the outcome had not yet been decided.
They are all used and signed/written in. This is a really neat way to glimpse how things were back then. These cards are in really nice shape, though a couple of them are somewhat worn. It\'s amazing how they have survived the passage of time (over 70 years) to be enjoyed by us. These cards are so different than what we have today.
Please refer to photos re: actual condition of album, cards and album pages. The pages are fragile (dog ears on some pages and small pieces of album pages come undone when lifted at times) and pages are in so, so condition but the cards are just lovely. Some have become undone from album but are still in tact. BE SURE and review all photos as well as explanations under Condition Description. Will be sold in AS IS condition.
