This sale: A military badge from imperial Japan. This is the Type II War Wound Badge, established in 1938; abolished in 1945. Superb design with red jeweled shields. See pictures for condition please.

Inscribed \'koshou (公傷)\' on reverse, which is the version given to soldiers and sailors who were injured outside of combat, such as in training exercises. Most often, though, these were men who were stricken by diseases like malaria.
