head alone is approx 7 inches tall! on body, it makes approx 20 1/2\" tall doll altogether!!
cloth, cotton, rag stuffed!most likely one of a kind. GIANT papier mache head from early to mid 1800\'s! i am not certain if it has a light wax coating or not...it is just too old for me to tell and appears to be all original patina.she does LOOK LIKE \'MAD ALICE\' to me, but not sure..
HAIR IS HUMAN AND I CANNOT REMOVE IT. long and beautiful it is and it is soft. what a find! the flaws can be covered up with clothing and or hair adjustments by you....or display as is. someone tried to save this head, and thank goodness they at least tried, though certainly not professional.it is a rare beautiful MASSIVE antique doll head on an incredible antique large and detailed cloth body! wonderful individual fingers. this is NOT a perfect doll head or body..but is a great GREAT doll if you love dolls with flaws, like me! from a closed doll hospital...sold as is. again, much damage to shoulder area as seen in photos and it is glued on to body. it cannot be removed without further damaging. body is old and stained and so sweet! this is what great antique treasured dolls are made of...and well loved! if only she could talk.her aged patina looks like she would have well over one hundred years of \'\'silent mystery history!!\'\'stunning original hand blown eyes .
from retired doll hospital. massive head with massive great cloth body and sold as is, considered damaged for parts fix repair and used. dress and hat found in clothing box, they fit and are included, though not antique and not perfect.
