* I have been asked to sell a collection of pocket watches for an elderly woman whos husband collected from the 1970s to the 1990s. he passed in 2003 and she has just now decided to part with them. there are 100s of watches and my time is limited so please check back frequently for new listings. it will probably take all summer to complete this task. there will be rail road watches, silver key winds, fancy dial watches and many other nice collectable watches as time goes on. I am listing the cheaper watches first to see how the response will be, and to determine if this is the proper venue to liquidate this collection. ALL the proceeds will go directly to her and I have offered to list them for her free of charge. please offer generously as she is 88 years old and surviving on a small fixed income. I am not an expert on watches, andwill belearning as I go with this project. I will be working with the information her husband left in a notebook with the watches. I will answer any questions as honestly as I can. if you notice a mistake on my part please let me know. all of these watches were cleaned , oiled and repaired and have set in storage for many years . they have been wound occasionally. I have since wound them all daily for the last week. most run well. I will note the watches that I believe will need recleaned and reoiled and or repaired. now on to the details...*at sale tonite is a huge mystery pocket watch. the old gent who collected these watches was unable to find any information on this watch. I haven\'t had much better luck. the only identifying marks are on the case back. it says \"alcier garantie.\" under that it appears to say \"oxicage inalterable\" I have found on a blog site this is French for guaranteed steel. that still leaves the last 2 words a mystery. there is one almost identical on now. and one sold earlier this year for near 500.00 I believe this to be a size 20 or 22. see the picture with it beside the 18 size key wind. the case is steel. there is minimal corrosion. for the age of the metal it is in remarkable condition. the crystal has been replaced as it is plastic. the dial is 2 tone and textured. it may be silver I have no way to tell for sure. the pin set fingered bridgemovement is in very clean nice condition. this watch is running strong and all the way down. it is running a little on the fast side. this thing is huge! all in all I believe this is a very obscure collectable pocket watch and will be a nice addition to any collection. shipping will be $3.50 in the lower 48 states. no rules, you pay and I ship promptly. thank you for looking at my sales and GOOD LUCK
