This is one year Type coin since it carries the Bicentennial design. It also was composed of mostly silver and has an S mint mark so it is different than the other Bicentennial coins since all others were made out of clad. It is also the last year in which the Eisenhower Dollar was struck and the last of the large Dollar coins.
Examples in circulated grades up to MS65 are very common. In MS66 to MS67 grade they are a little tougher to find but they exist in the tens of thousands. In MS68 they are really scarce and there are probably no more than 1,000 examples in this grade with none being finer.
In my opinion, the "silver" Eisenhower $1,being the last of the circulation struck large dollar coins...is very under-rated for beauty, value and collectability and is readily available in high gem states!!!

Seems like a lot of people forget about collecting Eisenhower dollars. I believe in collecting the MS 65 and up. Very hard to find the better quality Ike Dollars. Beautiful and hard to get in the higher MS grading for a good price. In the future I believe these coins are going to take off in price and collecting.

Buying a certified Eisenhower Dollar is a great way to get a high quality coin at a very reasonable cost. Beautiful addition to any collection!!

This coin, I believe, is highly underrated and a great opportunity for collectors interested in later coin series to consider the Eisenhower dollar especially in MS67 or higher.
