This is a great iron ,,I had the 7-pw Fm a sale, the 5+6 irons I found on eBay to complete my iron set..I use the 5-pw now and then my fairway woods when the range dictates more club.the r7 draw irons are my first Game improvement clubs.these irons are light and smooth to swing with plenty of distance ..more then I was getting out of the forged set of Ben hogans i was using...the r7s on the day I got them made me a better golfer.the lightness of the iron gives me more club speed ,hence more distance.?.what I found out was that having better clubs does indeed improve your game once you have the basics...that being said...the new era is here don't try like me to learn the game with an old set of forged clubs that are hard to hit or a set of cheap clubs as there is no comparison between average clubs and really good clubs ..technology has made it easier for us,,, all of us ,,new to the game ,,,to learn easier by using user friendly technology advanced clubs..the new clubs I believe are what leveled the playing field between tiger woods and the rest of the tour that's the difference they have made in the big picture ...try a taylormader7 draw iron ..feel and experience golf in the new era of game improvement clubs...taylormade company is one of the smaller golf club manufacturers ,they are because of that able to focus on high quality And irons that are a cut above the competition ...taylormade has long been on the cutting edge of advancements in golf technology and its no wonder they are imitated by the bigger venues...imitation is the most sincere form of flattery.....this r7 is a quality club at an affordable price..win win situation...integrity an commitment at taylormade have rewarded us again..r7draw available for guys like me who hit right.....not intentionally like bubba Watson....try the taylormade r7 .swing it for a round of golf ....you will be rewarded and pleased as it's a fine piece of craftsmanship that will have you like me saying .....wow this is the finest club I have ever hit smooth soft and long ....who doesn't want that ????Four!!!!!!!!!!!!Read full review
I love the R7 draw iron because of its forgiveness and the large sweet spot. It was incredibly easy to hit and surprisingly accurate. I decided to purchase the iron because I recently lost my own 4 iron, and I had heard that this was a good replacement. I would recommend this iron to anyone who is a good golfer that could surely use an accurate, forgiving club.
Excellent club. 'Swings' lighter & quicker than the same club w/ iron shaft. Easy to hit. Note: If you get a set of these, you may need to use 'more club' (next lower numbered club) to offset handicap in deep grass. Lighter & quicker also means less mass in the momentum.., but if you, as I, get this for short par 3's.., it's GREAT off the tee!
I bought this club because I know someone who has a similar set of irons and I liked the way they felt, so I decided I would try a club without being obligated to buy a whole set. The r7 draw iron was very easy to swing, thereby promoting better contact and direction. I also liked the Taylormade graphite shaft, it gives me a better response causing more precision and consistency.
I was having problems hitting my longer irons. Once I was able to do this I wanted the taylormade 5 and 6 iron. I have the r9's but I tried my friends r7 5 and 6 iron and loved them so got them instead to add to my collection. Taylormade is a very good and easy iron to hit. The price was right on ebay also!!
