This is a brilliant movie no matter how you slice it and there are a lot of extras on this DVD which make it even more entertaining however I would hold out for the Blu-ray if you have Blu-ray capabilities. If you have never seen this movie watch it it deserves all the iconic status it has attained in our culture. I highly recommend this movie it's one of my favorites

I bought this DVD because it is my daughter's favorite movie. She is 5 and just adores Dorothy and Toto. As a gift to her, I thought she might like a special edition movie with many extra features as she likes to know the "behind the scenes" stories such as character bios, bloopers etc. This particular DVD provides both and I particularly like the cover; it has a more kid-friendly appearance than some of the other editions. I also wanted to get a more recent edition with the hopes that the technology has gotten better in improving the look of the movie, since it is so old. This DVD fits the bill.
