Very good sound, I bought it because I have been tuberolling a bit. (This is as much as a hobby, and one audiophile thing. Searching for better tubes to increase sound quality) The tube arrived as advertised, in good working condition at a reasonable price. It's the second best tube I tried, the best I have is a Chinese military tube. Yet what is best this is always a matter of taste so that said with a big 'IMO' ok? :) And another piece of information. This is said for use with my Darkvoice LeFigaro 336 headphone amplifier. (also Chinese which might explain why the Chinese tube work best, even though they're supposed to be similar, have same voltage etc. So in other equipment other some other tube might be better. :)

These are an excellent example of the Sylvania angle plate top getter 6SN7GTB vintage tube. Chosen by one of the leading manufactures of Organs and Home Audio amplifiers of the vintage tube era and continuing today. The vintage Sylvania black, angled "T" plates are one of the most popular 6SN7's available and make a significant improvement over the modern issue tubes, particularly when upgrading from stock Chinese tubes fitted in many of the new tube amps of today. Before being labeled by Sylvania for the ALLEN Organ company they had to pass rigorous meter and audio testing so they tend to be the highest quality from the manufacture. Highly recommended in preamp, or output circuits of any audio system calling for the 6SN7 tube.

My upgraded vintage tube preamp is highly-regarded in some audiophile circles. It requires a total of 10 octal tubes. The 6SN7 tube is the primary valve in the line stage of my pre. Of course, one of the most important characteristics of a tube is how quiet it is- these are completely quiet at full volume. The sound is rich, balanced, detailed, musical, and completely satisfying. You cannot go wrong with NOS Sylvania as long as they measure properly.

Very good high end extension, rock solid bass, buttery midrange, these tubes have it all.

Much richer, warmer and less fatiguing than the stock tube. The tizziness is gone, the soundstage is wider and the mid-range is a bit more prominent. Overall it sounds more musical and is a recommended affordable replacement tube.
