I was diagnosed with Type II diabetes a couple of months ago. My doctor and I felt that I could keep this under control with diet and exercise. This is the first "Low-Carb" cook book that I have bought. The recipes look great and I am looking forward to trying some of them this week. I also love the fact that there is an Introduction at the beginning of the book that comments on different facets of "low-carb" eating (ie, dieting, glycemic index, health and carbs, etc.). All of the recipes appear to use ingredients that are readily available in your local market plus lots of wonderful spices. I can hardly wait to get started cooking with this book and know that I will use it many times over in the future. Thanks for this nice book.
I am a Type II diabetic and always on the lookout for any low carb cookbooks I can find. I am very pleased with my purchase and have found new recipes to try and add to my collection of favorite dishes. The recipes offer a lot of variety which is important when you are trying to change your eating habits. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for help in converting to a low carb lifestyle.
