This is, I believe, the fourth book by Patricia Cornwell - I always say that her first four are her best. I have read this about three times in ten years and each time it was as wonderful and suspenseful - I always get the urge in the fall/winter because she so beautifully captures the atmosphere of Richmond in those seasons. The book itself is about how, just after a prisoner is about to be executed, his fingerprint shows up at another crime scene. When the book focuses on the details of the case, it's at the peak of the forensic crime genre.
Still reading (and enjoying) this book.

If it's a Scarpetta Book, it Must be good! A very good read. Cornwell is, as usual, in top form. I have read most if not all the Scarpetta stories. This is right up there with the rest.
