I read multiple reviews of all the single cup coffee makers. The most common concerns with ALL inexpensive single cup makers are that the coffee is not strong enough (not enough extraction time), that the coffee is not hot enough and that the unit often fails quickly. Knowing that..... What I like about this one is that it is not costly ($17, many have found it for less), simple to use and clean afterwards. The see through indicator on the left side of the tank shows you the water level. You quickly learn how much coffee to add for your taste. Plug in and voila, takes about 5 minutes for a full cup. On the down side, for those that want stronger coffee: consider a press. If you want it warmer, you can microwave it for a few seconds after it's brewed but it's fine for me. The on/off switch has been reported to fail in some units. I leave the switch alone, plug it in and unplug as soon as it's done: requires monitoring but reduces overheating and early failure of the heating coil after all the water is gone.Read full review

My husband only recently started drinking coffee instead of tea some of the time. This little thing was my idea after watching him fuss with a funnel-like gizmo that required constant attention and gradual addition of water. The cup that comes with this is small by our household standards but fortunately our mugs-of-choice will just fit on the platform and by adding a little extra water to the reservoir after the process has gone on a bit he can get a good-sized cup from the device. Fine for the casual, sometimes coffee drinker.

This coffee pot has met or exceeded expectations. I recently used a brand in a hotel room that led me to purchase a similar unit. It was more expensive and not nearly as good. The only flaw I can see is that the unit does not cut off after brewing is complete (for us forgetful folks)!

this coffee maker is excellent .you dont have to make a whole pot for one cup. it has a wide mouth makes it easy to fill with water.i use mine mainly on week ends and vacations.the one cup at a time lets you make it when you want it.with no waste.these types of coffee makers lasts 3 to 4 years on average. when they brake or quiet working buy a new one they are inexpensive i have used these types for years.
I got this because I don't drink a lot of coffee, but buying single serve coffee stuff (like instant or 1cup bags) is expensive.. It doesn't always taste as good as fresh brewed either.. Buying a bag of grounds in a flavor I like and doing it in this single cup drip maker is much cheaper and tastes far better.. Very easy to use..
