Being a long time fan of Callaway equipment and especially the x series irons, these X20 tour irons are truly only an improvement on the clubs of old. I have had x14 pro series and x18 pro series and the only thing that I disliked about them is the amount of offset in them. The X20 tours solved that problem for me and then some. Being a low digit handicapper that doesn't get to play alot anymore I am looking for something that looks appealing like the blades I use to play all the time but gives me the playability I need when those off center hits crop up more often than they used to. Another thing that I like about these is the distance and consistency of that distance that I get out of them. I have found that some of the cast clubs I have tried (and believe me, I have tried many!) they usually have "hot spots" in them from the process that they are made. Not true with Callaway and these irons. If your looking for a great set of irons that offer you some game improvement and don't look like your trying to hit the ball with a frying pan, Callaway's X20 tours are the ticket.Read full review
played with them today and very easy to hit straight or draw, not so easy to fade but 2/3 is fine with me. These are not as feely touchy as forged but they also give you excellent results on not so great contact. Not at all hard to chip with and give an excellent trajectory on full shots. The weight on these is d-4 and very aware of the head throughout the swing. hit 12/18 greens with them first time out at a 139 slope course. i give them a big thumbs up.
I bought this set because it was a great deal on ebay. I was going to buy a set of irons anyway. I researched many different sets at local golf stores and also online stores. I noticed these clubs at more than half the price of what was selling at many other stores. I had already hit these irons and loved the way the ball came off the club face. So I bought them on ebay. Needless to say it was a great decision. My first time out with these clubs I shaved 5 strokes off my average. Pure and smooth, these clubs are the best. I highly recommend to anyone wanting to improve their game. By the way I am a 12 handicap, so by no means am I playing for money anywhere. I just enjoy playing the game.
Played Taylor Made irons for over 5 years and hit some Callaway X-22 Tours at a demo day. Decided to try out the X-20 Tours and, WOW! Amazing! I have shaved 3 or 4 strokes off of my game. These clubs are long, easy to hit and feel like forged clubs with the black gold rifel shafts. Loved them so much I bought a Callaway driver and wedge. My whole bag is going from TM to Callaway and I couldn't be happier. If you haven't hit some Callaways - it's time to take the plunge. Wow.
When I decided to upgrade my trusty old Big Bertha '96 irons, I settled on the X-20 Tours after careful reviews. These stix are awesome! It came with the rifle 6.0 flighted shafts. I shoot in the high 80s and I felt like controllability was much better than my old stix. I would definitely recommend this to any one who mite be close to a bogey golfer, except I would get them with maybe the Rifle 5.0 (with more flex), depending on your swing speed. For the higher handicap golfers, I recommend getting the newer X22 stix.
