Neale Donald Walsch wrote the popular book “Conversations with God”. God, says Walsch, has told him that man’s goal on earth is to remember who he is, was and always will be - God. Walsch sometimes teaches the concept of Pantheism, that all is God and God is all and sometimes Panentheism, that God is in process of becoming, gaining in knowledge and dominion. He says “You are God, you simply do not know it.” The Bible clearly states that God created us, but we are not God. Mr. Walsch also promotes aspects of Taoism’s concept of yin-yang; Buddhism’s renunciation life, magic or witchcraft, reincarnation, and the existence of extra-terrestrial. He says that Jesus was not perfect. He does not believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins. He says everyone goes to heaven no matter what they have done, even Hitler. He claims God doesn’t care what we do. (If I care very much that you want to kill me, believe me, God will judge you if you kill or hurt me, or molest a child, or rape someone, or steal or lie.) He claims that God will not judge us and will not punish the wicked. Typical of New Age teachings, Walsch frequently twist Scripture (which he says can’t be trusted in the first place, to make it fit his own concepts. He talks about love with “love” remaining somewhat amorphous. Walsch describes love as the “purest joy and the highest ecstasy” which is found in giving and receiving sex, which he advises us to experience indiscriminately. He claims to know what to do, just trust your feelings. Well, thousands of people have trusted their feelings to murder, steal, and hurt others. I wonder what he thinks about that.Read full review
Basically, if you liked the Conversation with God Trilogy, you will love this book. This time, he goes into greater details about what type of "religion" if you will, we should believe in, in the coming future. Basically, our belief system is outdated and upon a rise in consciousness, a global enlightenment, we will view God and life in a whole new light. It's a utopia-like view of the world, but it is still a very logical and interesting point of view. What I like is that the theories put forth are backed up with logical explanations and everything is tied in together well. I highly recommend this book!
I love this book. I want to read it over and over again, now I can, easily.
