When it comes to A-Ha, it seems there are two camps of fans. You either love the early stuff, or the later stuff, as in right about 2000, when this disc was released. For me, I like a little of both, but more the later. I remember watching the "Take On Me" video on MTV that exposed the world to this fantastic band. This song was so different from anything else I had heard, it has become one of the few songs I still love hearing today. While I enjoy all of their albums, I think "Minor Earth, Major Sky" marks a maturity with the band, and is the starting point where I really love how Morten's vocals bloom. The following album "Lifelines" has been in my collection for some time, and I also recently picked up "Cast In Steel", which I think is an amazing album, especially considering the groups age and time of life. So for me, these three albums define the best of what I love about A-Ha, and as I listen to this cd many times, I wonder how much more I will come to love it, and how it will fit in with "Lifelines" and "Cast In Steel". But no matter, I'm sure I will come to feel that if I could only have three cd's from this band, "Minor Earth, Major Sky" will have to be included! One additional bit of information that may be helpful to potential buyers is that this particular disc is "Made in Germany". If you are like me, you want to avoid releases made in certain countries. However, Germany is at the top of my list with Japan, US, and EU releases. Discogs shows that some catalog numbers are shared by several countries, so if the remainder of the stock Movie Mars has listed is the same, I would jump on buying one of these top quality releases!Read full review
