Before I bought this book I read a description for it. It said color pictures and 'the book you have been waiting for'. The last such book was the Benjamin Sports Americana price guide to the Non-Sports cards in 1992. I do like the color pictures of the cards and it does have some great info on cards produced since the 1992 book, but it has some problems. there are several mistakes that I found in the listings. It was apparently compiled by one person. In the listing for Kiss, he says 'these are the first cards since Topps produced some in the 1970's'. Donruss was the maker of those cards. I found other mistakes as well. ALSO, after looking through less than half the book, it started to come apart from the spine. I handled it VERY carefully but the glue that was used to hold it together must be very cheap. The whole front half fell out it one lump. My 1992 book is still in very nice shape even though I have used it often in the 10 years I have had it. I also much prefer the the way items were presented in the 1992 book. The type was larger and easier to read. This new book is very small as they tried to cram it all in. This leads to another point, The 1992 book only presented American made cards (and wrappers/boxes). This book lists many sets released in England and Australia. They could have left them out and saved space to have larger type. Let them make a different book for those markets. The same guy just issued a book on promo cards so he could have saved a lot of space by leaving them out as well. Many were of sets that were never produced. In short, I much prefer the 1992 Benjamin guide in everything except it has black and white pictures. The new book was not exactually "what I have been waiting for" but it is better than nothing.Read full review
Encyclopedia of Non-sport & Entertainment Trading Cards book is in color very nice. But it shouldlist the cards a little better. The reason I bought this book is, that it is the only one I could find.
