Colorful pictures and clear letters attract toddlers. "A" and "a" is in the separate cards so they can learn capital letters first and then small letters. Finally they can match "A" and "a". For color cards, they can learn color and then sort them or they can learn shape and then sort shapes. Colors and shapes are the same card set. My toddler wants to count to 20 and this is perfect (one side is number only and other side is pictures of counting number). The plain sides of numbers seem boring but another side is colorful. Sight words are mix with easy and a little bit difficult but my toddler (20 months) is too young to learn them. First words are similar pictures to letter cards, but they have words under the pictures. Overall, very good cards and my toddler plays everyday.
