PAULINE TABOR WAS FROM BOWLING GREEN, KY. I AM 63 YEARS OLD & HAVE LIVED IN KY. ALL MY LIFE. I HAVE A BROTHER-IN-LAW THAT WAS A TRUCK DRIVER. HE ALWAYS KIDDED ABOUT GOING TO PAULINE,S. THE TOPIC CAME UP ONE DAY & I STARTED HUNTING ON EBAY FOR A BOOK. AFTER GETTING THE FIRST ONE & READING IT I JUST HAD TO HAVE ONE FOR MY 7 BROTHERS & SISTERS. WE HAVE ENJOYED THE BOOK & I HAVE ENJOYED BIDDING ON EBAY & WINNING THEM. I HAVE GREAT LUCK BUYING ON EBAY. THANKS FOR LETTING ME EXPRESS MYSELF.
I bought this book for my mother. She absolutely LOVES this book... and I do too. It is about a real life brothel in the old days in our town we live in. The madame is the author about real men that were prominent in our town that visited her establishment. It is very entertaining!
An honest insight about an era and occupation few have experienced. Pauline would have been a successful businesswoman no matter what business she had chosen to get into. Shows that no matter what the product is, it still requires attention to detail, proper marketing, expense control and customer satisfaction. Great Book....I highly recommend it!
The book was an interesting read. I am living in Bowling Green, where the story originates, and have heard the legend. My friend owns a print and one of the bricks from the "House on Clay Street". Interesting to see the point of view of the "businesswoman" herself.
