This is one of the best books I've read this summer; and not just because I'm a horse lover. :) Kevin Conley writes a first hand portrait of his visits to the great Thoroughbred stud farms of our day, examining great horses such as Storm Cat and Mr. Prospector, who have changed the modern TB world wide. His critique of the TB breeding business carries him from Kentucky to California and points in between. The differences across the country are a mirror of the racing business in America and provide a wonderful snapshot into this exciting industry. An excellent read. Mary Butler, mbutler500@aol.com
