This album proves that while the period 1968 - 1975 represents the halcyon era of progressive rock and adventurous pop music, not every outfit was able to deliver the goods. This dreary collocation of turgid riffs and tedious sonic doodling splattered with mindless lyrics about nothing in particular is a perfect example of the kind of self indulgent drivel which caused later critics to denigrate the period - unfairly but understandably. It's A Drag, I'm A Drag is literally the only track worth hearing amid the entire sad and sorry mess. Andy Martin (for UNIT).
