I've been a Beach Boys' fan, since they first came on the scene back in the early 60's. I'm 64 years old now, and still enjoy listening to their songs. I bought the vinyl LP Christmas Album some years ago. This Christmas, I decided to go on E-Bay and see if it was available on CD. It was, and I bought it! Now I can play this great album in my car, also! I would highly recommend it, especially if you're a Beach Boys fan, new or long-time!
well i have always loved their music and some of these Christmas songs i have heard off and on through the years but now i will be able to play them every Christmas and for my family so they can learn them too! nice to have new Christmas songs not the same ones sung by everyone else!!!
*** THIS REVIEW IS ABOUT THE 1991 CD VERSION *** The 1991 version is hard-to-find and is a quite highly sought-after item. It has 16 tracks and some slightly different (and better!) mixes. For example, "We Three Kings" doesn't end with a fadeout, and you get to hear more of these glorious harmonies! So get this version if you're a real fan (along with "Ultimate Christmas" from 1998 which contains more Christmas songs by the Beach Boys). Otherwise, "Ultimate Christmas" alone of any other Beach Boys Christmas compilation should do the trick.
I bought this album for my 7 year old daughter. She heard the song The Man With All the Toys and Little Saint Nick on the radio and wanted them. It is an awesome collection of Christmas songs.
I bought this CD for both home and office Holiday music and was not disappointed! Popular songs and some I had not heard. All songs are great. This holiday CD is a must have for The Beach Boys fan.
