I think Langdon Cood wrote this for those of us who aren't into the typical consumer books but are looking for the real truth of foraging and the fun you can have while outdoors. I't not just about always finding the perfect speciman but like a fisherman who doesn't always catch fish but enjoys the time out on the water. So it is with the forager, we discover and learn new things everytime we're out. Langdon makes the adventure fun and gives us ideas for enjoying the fruits of our labor after we head back in. Great read.
Nice little book. The guy isn't fill of himself. I enjoyed the stories and I've used the recipes that follow each chapter.
