I loved this book! I found in it facts I had known nothing about. The book provides insights about his family that I never knew, including facts about his interests as a kid in baseball, basketball, football, dancing and riding his bike. As a child not fully understanding why he could no longer play with his (white) best friend. The book reveals that Dr. King was born Michael King, after his father. Later the father changed both his name and the son's name to Martin Luther King (Sr. and Jr.) People know about his famous speeches, and life after he becomes an adult. This book provides a good bit of that background but provides information about this close-knit family, ML, AD, Christine, their mother, father (Daddy King) and grandmother (Mother Dear). In my judgment, it is a book for all ages. I thoroughly enjoyed the pictures, family insights, and highlights of some of his most memorable accomplishments including the "I Have A Dream" speech at the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom in 1963.Read full review
