I grew up watching this and had not seen it since Sci-Fi channel stopped showing reruns years ago. At first glance its petty mediocre but the more you get enveloped into certain episodes and story-lines(Moonlight Becomes You is my favorite episode) the more it grows on you. The special effects and gore level are pretty well-rounded for a TV series. The transformations are always fun to watch (especially since its not CGI) and the acting is about average. Characters are for the most part pretty single-sided but each have their moments at certain intervals. Having a female lead/werewolf does make this series stand out a bit more, and Kate Hodge does a great job portraying Randi Wallace, the semi-skeptical grad student who got more than she bargained for during a night out on the moors. Neil Dickson, who portrays Dr. Ian Matheson is also very likable and quite comedic at times as one moment he's a believer, the next a skeptic which adds to the interaction. Above all else, its a relatively good series that if you are a fan of werewolves/werewolf lore is worth checking out. I watched it from beginning to end and was never really disappointed. There are many great werewolf films to choose from but not many TV series and not many with a female lead at that. Its an option I do recommend, if not to own, at least to watch all the way through once. Now if only WEREWOLF would come out on DVD as well.Read full review

I loved this TV series the first time it was shown and it didn't lose anything over time. Stuffy & sexy professor trying to help his American student beat an old curse. . . and love ensues.

This was one of the shows that made up my weekend sci-fi / horror viewing ritual along with Tales From Darkside, Friday the 13th The Series and Forever Knight back in the late 1980’s early 1990’s. Feels like old times!
